Shuffleboard Showdown was a two-part live shuffleboard championship broadcast produced in the RTVF 146—TV Production: Live Sports class at Hofstra University. I was the Co-Production Manager alongside Elliana Dow, and the Graphics Producer. Additionally, I edited both the show’s intros—watch the Championship intro below.

Graphics Producing

For both the Semi-Final and Championship broadcasts, I created all of the graphics used from scratch, as well as operated the graphics night of. This included lower thirds, stat cards, and scoreboards—one scorebug for the live show, and a larger scoreboard for the live spectators. The scoreboards were connected to an Excel spreadsheet that calculated scores using Xpression Datalinq to ensure proper scoring.

Production Managing

As a production manager, I oversaw hiring crew, renting equipment, and creating the court. Many of our crew was made up from students from outside the class, so we took sign-ups and assigned roles to the best fit. Creating a shuffleboard court inside of an indoor TV studio involved coordinating painting times and ensuring proper measurements.
